Cairo and Luxor are the two main airports in Egypt, with Aswan, Alexandria and Sharmel-Sheikh as close runner-ups. Sharm el-Sheikh is mostly visited directly by those interested in a vacation in Red Sea. However, Cairo Airport boasts most of the airlines operating flights to and from India. All the major Indian cities with airports have frequent flights to Cairo. Flights from Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai and Kolkata to Egypt are very common. The fastest flight to Egypt is from Mumbai. This is the only nonstop flight to Cairo from Mumbai and it runs three days a week - Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday. The flight takes around 6 hours 40 minutes and is operated by Egyptair. The next best option to go to Egypt by air is the one-stop flight from Delhi by Kuwait Airways and Egypt Air via Kuwait City, which takes around 8 hours. From Chennai, there are many one-stop flights as well.

Is Egypt safe to visit?

Tourism is the primary source of revenue for the Egyptian economy, therefore the government has taken exceptional steps to ensure safety and security for tourists. With Dragonfly Kite Safaris, your safety—out on the water or traveling within the country—is paramount to us and we take great pride in ensuring your Egyptian vacation is smooth and stress free. Egyptian cities are generally very safe and frequently patrolled by police and military, especially at airports and in any area where tourists frequent (such as the Red Sea resort towns of El Gouna and Hurghada). Egyptians have a well-earned reputation for warmth and kindness, and hold no negative feelings toward foreign visitors. Tourism numbers dipped considerably after the 2011 Revolution, but now, as the political and economic situations have stabilized, tourism numbers have rebounded as visitors have happily and safely returned to Egypt to experience this magnificent country and all of its incredible wonders.

What are the travel documents required to enter Egypt?

For the vast majority of travelers to Egypt, a valid passport , return flight tickets and a travel visa is required.

Is tipping common in Egypt?

As with most European and North American countries, tipping is graciously accepted in Egypt. A 10% tip at restaurants and to guides and drivers is standard. Unfortunately, at major tourist sites like the Pyramids of Giza or the tombs of the Valley of the Kings, touts aggressively hustle for tips by allowing you to take photos in areas where it's clearly posted as prohibited (such as inside the tombs). Please refrainfrom perpetuating this problem by not paying to take pictures.

What electrical plugs and voltage are used in Egypt?

Egypt has a voltage supply of 220V and the plugs are the 2-round pin type that are common throughout Europe.

What types of clothing are recommended for traveling in Egypt?

Egypt is a Muslim country and visitors should, as with any foreign country, make an effort to be respectful of the country's customs and culture. There are many touristic Red Sea areas in Egypt, such as El Gouna and Hurghada, where clothing concerns are not necessary - in these areas you can wear any sort of beach attire you want. At other inland tourist areas, such as Cairo or Luxor, however, relatively conservative attire is recommended as Egyptians generally dress more modestly than in many parts of Europe and North America. Women especially should avoid tight clothing and revealing necklines, and keep their shoulders and knees covered. Men should avoid wearing shorts anywhere outside of Red Sea tourist areas. In general, in order to be respectful of local customs in Egypt, when visiting the sites of Luxor or Cairo, it’s best to wear loose-fitting pants and long-sleeve shirts.

Is alcohol available in Egpyt?

As noted previously, Egypt is a Muslim country, therefore alcohol is not readily available outside of tourist areas and western-style hotels/resorts.

Trip over..now its time to give review of Meilleur Tours & travel who organised our trip...
1.Tour itinerary : Excellentlly designed by Debarati and Anirudhha da.
2. Hotels:
Villa in Pataya was excellent and spacious , though from Villa you can't communicate with Hotel staffs as there is no intercom service in Villa...You actually don't need even. Two Swimming pools are very clean and nice. Hotel room in Grand Mercure Atrium was also awesome in Bangkok. Nice breakfast.
3. Service and Guides:
This is the main part of your tour if you travel with your family. And in this part Meilleur deserve 5star as when and where required they promptly took action and tried to solved. tour guides and drivers of cars were very cordial, gentle, well behaved. Specially I would like to mention 'Phupho' in jungle safari who is so cute and always smiling face. Lila was also very good.
On tour cost:
I think Anirudhha da has some special relation with Thailand Govt😍,that only he can offer you the best rates for a lavish tour. Strongly recomend all to contact. Meilleur tours for their next trip.

Good cooperation from Meilleur Holidays and made our trip comfortable. Wonderful trip over 10 days 09 nights. Hindu temple visit in Batu cave on the way to Genting Hiland and delicious Dosa in breakfast i ever ate in India. Natural beauty and walk in cloud above 6000ft from sea level in Genting Hiland was charming and one night stay in Genting Hiland with dinner in Malaysian style will made the evening more enjoyable. Next two days and two night in Kuala Lumpur city along with KL and Twin Tower visit was my dream. Sea beauty and Cable car ride through cloud in Langkawi Island along with beauty of city were immemorable. Collection of marine animal and birds in Langkawi aquarium i ever seen. two days and two nights in Langkawi print a idea in our mind that beauty of Malaysia is the concise form of beauty of whole Asia. Rest of 5 days and 4 nights in Singapore gave us opportunity to enjoy the Garden of Bay, Pleasant wind from sea of Santosa Island and collection of Maddame Tassaud museum were unforgettable. No one can realise the international level of collection in Singapore zoo along with animal show and light and sound show technology in Santosa without visit. I enjoyed food in Indian, Western, Japanese and Malaysian preparation in all places. Don't forget to carry a light warm cloth and umbrella for cable car journey in both Genting Highland and Langkawi Island. Currency exchange were little bit of difficult locally in Genting Hiland and Langkawi Island. So, do it in Kuala Lumpur City/Airports. If you want to see any place by your own then you can book taxi through Grab apps. One thing always keep in mind that in Singapore local tourist vehicle operators used to maintain a strict timetable and your drop and pick up vehicle may not be of same number and even may not be of same capacity. If you miss, no need to panic. Book taxi through Zig apps. Automatic technology in Airports must be accepted in our country also.
