Important Information Regarding Darjeeling Tour Package

Darjeeling is a food paradise. From local cuisines to Chinese, Tibetan, Bengali and many other cuisines are easily available here. The most famous eateries would be Glenary’s, Nathmull Tea, and of course the timeless Keventers. This place is amongst the most talked-about places when it comes to Darjeeling. They serve you the famous “all meat platter” with some lip-smacking meaty affairs and not to forget, their USP hot chocolate! Keventers is not only known for the food but also holds down a nostalgic corner in every Bengali’s heart as this was a cult favourite spot of none other than Satyajit Ray. The famous writer and director had shot many of these film clippings in these iconic restaurants which remain to be a favourite amongst Bengalis like you and me!

Your apparels completely depend upon the time of the year that you plan to visit Darjeeling. During the summer, you can carry light woollens like full sleeve shirts, t-shirts, and also light shawls but during the winter, heavy woollens like jackets, thick sweaters etc are important. Do not forget to carry an umbrella with you as Darjeeling often receives rain.

Darjeeling is an amazing place, known as the Queen of Hills. To cover the most important places in Darjeeling, a 3N/4D Darjeeling Trip is ok but if travellers want to cover all attractions and activities like Darjeeling Cable Car Ride (rs 200/PH), Darjeeling Toy Train Joy Ride (Rs 1400/PH) then 4N/5D Darjeeling Tour Plan will be perfect.

February to March is a very good time for travel to Darjeeling. This is the time when the weather is at its best. If you are tolerant to the cold then you can also opt for this tour from October to December and this is also the best time to get a clear glimpse of the Kanchenjunga!

Travelling from Bagdogra Airport is a matter of cakewalk for anyone. There are numerous shared cabs which you can hire if you are on a budget or else you can also book a private car. It takes around 3 hours. If you are on your Darjeeling Package Tour then this is not a big issue. Your tour operator will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to Darjeeling with your desired car from Rohini Road or Hill Cart Road (NH-55) by your preferred car.

Darjeeling experiences warm and pleasant weather during May and June and thus snowfall during this time doesn’t stand a chance.

You can book a toy train ticket from the Passenger Reservation System (PRS) Network of Indian Railways, and even at Darjeeling Railway Station. It will cost around Rs 1400/- per person.
This popular Toy Train Joy ride in Darjeeling is a round trip and takes about 2 hours to complete a total 16 km distance. The ride starts from Darjeeling station, and then it goes up to Ghum. After a brief halt at the Ghum station, it proceeds and stops back at Batasia Loop. Behold the magnificent views of Mt Kanchenjunga as well as Darjeeling town and then returns to Darjeeling. It’s an amazing experience to take the ride as it depicts the grandeur of the magnificent Queen of Hills.

The best time to take a ride in the Darjeeling Ropeway is from October to May. It is open daily during this time of the year. The path stretches over a distance of 5 km and the boarding point is Singamari. The charges are Rs 200 for an adult, Rs 100 for a child (3 to 8 years) and free for infants.

Darjeeling is a wonderful place to visit. Right from mountains, to forests, toy train rides, shopping malls, wonderful Kanchenjunga view, ropeway's nostalgic alleys, you name it and Darjeeling has it.

If you are going from NJP station or Bagdogra Airport, then it would be easier for you to make Darjeeling your first halt and then you can go to Gangtok from there.

Option 1: FROM NJP

From New Jalpaiguri Station (NJP) the Hill Cart Road or NH-55 is the main route that leads to Darjeeling. It is almost 88km and takes approx 3 hrs to reach Darjeeling depending on traffic, weather and political condition in the hill. The route is like this:
NJP to Siliguri (8km).
Siliguri to Sukhna (8km).
Sukhna to Kurseong (40km).
Kurseong to Ghum (24km).
Ghum to Darjeeling (8km).

Trip over..now its time to give review of Meilleur Tours & travel who organised our trip...
1.Tour itinerary : Excellentlly designed by Debarati and Anirudhha da.
2. Hotels:
Villa in Pataya was excellent and spacious , though from Villa you can't communicate with Hotel staffs as there is no intercom service in Villa...You actually don't need even. Two Swimming pools are very clean and nice. Hotel room in Grand Mercure Atrium was also awesome in Bangkok. Nice breakfast.
3. Service and Guides:
This is the main part of your tour if you travel with your family. And in this part Meilleur deserve 5star as when and where required they promptly took action and tried to solved. tour guides and drivers of cars were very cordial, gentle, well behaved. Specially I would like to mention 'Phupho' in jungle safari who is so cute and always smiling face. Lila was also very good.
On tour cost:
I think Anirudhha da has some special relation with Thailand Govt😍,that only he can offer you the best rates for a lavish tour. Strongly recomend all to contact. Meilleur tours for their next trip.

Good cooperation from Meilleur Holidays and made our trip comfortable. Wonderful trip over 10 days 09 nights. Hindu temple visit in Batu cave on the way to Genting Hiland and delicious Dosa in breakfast i ever ate in India. Natural beauty and walk in cloud above 6000ft from sea level in Genting Hiland was charming and one night stay in Genting Hiland with dinner in Malaysian style will made the evening more enjoyable. Next two days and two night in Kuala Lumpur city along with KL and Twin Tower visit was my dream. Sea beauty and Cable car ride through cloud in Langkawi Island along with beauty of city were immemorable. Collection of marine animal and birds in Langkawi aquarium i ever seen. two days and two nights in Langkawi print a idea in our mind that beauty of Malaysia is the concise form of beauty of whole Asia. Rest of 5 days and 4 nights in Singapore gave us opportunity to enjoy the Garden of Bay, Pleasant wind from sea of Santosa Island and collection of Maddame Tassaud museum were unforgettable. No one can realise the international level of collection in Singapore zoo along with animal show and light and sound show technology in Santosa without visit. I enjoyed food in Indian, Western, Japanese and Malaysian preparation in all places. Don't forget to carry a light warm cloth and umbrella for cable car journey in both Genting Highland and Langkawi Island. Currency exchange were little bit of difficult locally in Genting Hiland and Langkawi Island. So, do it in Kuala Lumpur City/Airports. If you want to see any place by your own then you can book taxi through Grab apps. One thing always keep in mind that in Singapore local tourist vehicle operators used to maintain a strict timetable and your drop and pick up vehicle may not be of same number and even may not be of same capacity. If you miss, no need to panic. Book taxi through Zig apps. Automatic technology in Airports must be accepted in our country also.
